DIY spark plug change for '05 CTT?
Anyone have a link or how-to- change spark plugs on an '05 CTT? Shops are quoting $350 to change these which includes two hour labor. I tried searching on here but no reference to anyone changing their own spark plugs.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I changed the plugs and coil packs this weekend on my 2005 Turbo. It is definitely a DIY job. The hardest part is removing and putting on the passenger side engine cover.
1. Remove all 5 black plastic pieces that surround the engine bay area.
2. Remove engine brace on passenger side that's bolted to engine and lift out of way "big screw."
3. Remove 4 torx bolts that hold the receptacle piece for the engine brace and move out of way.
4. Remove the three silver engine covers that cover the coils/plugs.
5. Unscrew torx screw that holds the coil pack in place and pull out.
6. Remove spark plug with extension.
7. Put in new spark plug.
8. Put in new coil.
I strongly suggest replacing the coil packs as well as they are known to crack over time. They are cheap enough to do as preventative maintenance.
Hope this helps!
