Cayman Roll bar + Harness Bar

Dad got the caymanS today and getting it prepped for some track time for the 28th-3rd.

On order we got coilovers and also need to get a 6-pt harness. I've been looking at the options and basically it comes down to the DMC harness bar and/or AutoTechnik roll-bar.

The autotechnik also comes with its own harness bar however its 2-3 feet away from the seatback, not 6 inches. Someone in caymanclub mentioned thats fine as long as you cross the harnesses, does anyone have any info on this?

I think if its ok then the autotechnik might be the way to go. Otherwise it would be the autotechnik for roll-over and DMC for the harness mounting.

Anyinfo would be appreciated.

I basically answered all of my own questions so if anyone else was interested:

The autotechnick bar comes with a harness bar mount but its between the rear shock mounts so its quite a bit of a ways away from the rear seat backs.

The best application would be to install the roll-bar and get a separate harness bar that runs between the shoulder belt mount points that way it is only a few inches away from the seat backs and should provide the proper angle for the harnesses.

To get the car ready on time (going to VIR end of Feb.) we decided to do just the harness bar and hold off on the roll-bar till after VIR.

Also the bar does require a bit of modification to the car, you will need to make some small slits where the shock towers are so that you can mount it, but they are barely noticeable.

If you are running with PCA they will not let you run harnesses with stock seats. You must have the proper seats with cut outs for routing of the harness.

Race seats are going in sorry didnt mention it.

Also turns out there is another bolt in roll-bar coming out from Farnbacher Loles that actually does run the harness bar a few inches behind the seatbacks. He's going to be putting that one in probably 2-3 weeks until it arrives.
